Self care also means girl dates with your best friend 😍 👭
Although I had planned on working this weekend, I chose to call up one of my girlfriends for some much needed girl time. Because both of us are successful Attorneys and are always on the go✈️ it’s hard to check in and spend time together.
So for our girl date, we caught up over brunch, tried out a local cookie shop (deelish!), and even got in a little shopping 🛍
We laughed, cried, shared business ideas, encouraged each other—everything! We both left feeling recharged and ready to level up. You see, it’s okay to take care of yourself, but that doesn’t mean that you have to do it by yourself.
It’s so easy to get bogged down with life, work, kids, etc. that you end up neglecting other areas and people in your life that you care about. Don’t get so caught up in achieving the next thing, that you end up doing life alone.
Check in on your friends, go on friend-dates, support each other, and keep each other accountable❤️ Also, my next read will be “The Big Stretch” by Teneshia Jackson Warner. Super excited about it and would love for you to join me!
