My interview with former @wba manager James Shan!!! Q1) If you could describe yourself as a coach in three words what would those three words be???
Answer: innovative, Enthusiastic, Knowledgeable.
Q2) You joined West Brom in 2014 and left the Baggies five years later in 2019. How much have you developed as a coach during that period?? Answer: I joined WBA in 2006 and worked with every age group from pre academy - first team manager. The journey and experiences via lots of hard work and countless sessions enabled me to grow as a coach. My development and progression through the academy into first team was timed almost to perfection allowing me to acquire new skill sets.
Q3) When Darren Moore left West Brom earlier this year , how did you feel leading West Brom into the Play-offs???
Answer: Leading the club for 10 championship games and then into the play offs was a proud moment.
It also enabled me to further to develop as a coach and experience dealing with the board, media etc. This was another learning experience that will aid the next part of my journey / career.
Q4)Do you believe Slaven Bilić is the right man to lead West Brom back into the Premier League???
Answer: I believe Slaven is an experienced coach / manager and is a great fit for WBA. He is an charismatic character off the pitch, and has assembled a team with great flair and quality on it.
The type of player he has recruited has enabled the team to be creative and exciting to watch.
Q5)As you have experienced West Midlands football with a variety of local teams, how do you feel we are progressing as a region???
Answer: I believe West Midlands football is in a good place. I’ve seen football from an array of levels from PL down to the National league. Their is a good talent pool in the region!
Q6) What are your future plans in football???
Answer: My ambitions are to enter a career as a head coach / manager. If an opportunity was to arise I feel I have the skillsets to be successful.
I would be open to assisting / first team coach roles that provided me an opportunity to coach / learn and further develop.
