Announcement: New event company has been incorporated! 😎
My new business partner and I have an amazing set of unique/niche events we're prepared to unleash Q1 of 2020.
I'm excited to get back in the event game. In my 20s I started "Red Tie Events" & "KP Enterprise" solo & "The Status Group" with the serial entrepreneur and friend, Leo Vega.
Over the decade I've had 1,000 people in attendance at an event, and I've had events where only 17 people showed up. I've thrown fashion shows, networking events, concerts, wine tastings, comedy shows, boat parties, open mic nights, nightlife events, ect.
As an entrepreneur, anytime you close a business, you feel like a failure. (& I eventually closed/lost all 3.) It wasn't until recent that I realized I didn't fail at all. These events allowed me to attract, connect, and network with Chicago's elite while simultaneously building my business acumen.
I reminisced for a solid hour last night looking at old pictures: all the friends and family that came out to support, all the models, fashion designers, artists, hair and nail professionals, makeup artists, photographers, food and liquor vendors, venue staff, sponsors, our staff, and of course our consistent attendees...all the ups and the downs, remembering things that happened behind the scenes lol.
I'm just grateful for it all. I'm grateful for you all. & I'm grateful to get this opportunity to go into this industry again.
Happy Throw-Back-Thursday everyone! #Status #StatusGroup #Statuslifestyle #Chicago #downtown #events #entrepreneur #entrepreneurship #publicspeaking #publicspeaker #host #book #published #author #fashion #fashionshow #networking #network #moves #getmoney
