Mr Kipling Frosty Fancies
Trash Food Guidance 1. Fragrance and Flavour: It's all vanilla, but I was expecting vanilla so there was no dissonance between my eyes and my taste buds. This was not the case with the Vampire Fancies that were released for Halloween (I'm still upset about those). The flavour was subtle, but still noticeable. 14/20 2. Texture: Love that sponge and fondant. Also, love the addition of the little blob of cream on top, between the fondant and the sponge. Delightful. 17/20 3. Appearance and packaging: I was drawn in by the seasonal offering of "frosty" fancies, though why they even have this in Australia is ridiculous. Maybe it's like a 'frosty cold one' - i.e. a beer. That would make sense. Not beer flavour though. That would be terrible. 13/20 4. Value/ price: Full price is $5 and that is what I paid. I won't do it again. I'll be back on the unicorn fancies straight away. You can get those for $3 or less sometimes. 12/20 5. Novelty and fun: Yeah, I guess this is a novelty item, but I keep wanting more! I feel that Mr Kipling reached peak with the unicorn flavour and that all others pale in comparison. 13/20
Total - 69/💯 Bonus Trash Factor: Yes, I am getting to all of the fancies. I the original and the unicorn ones so much that I was captivated by the whole "fancies" concept. There is a chocolate and mint flavoured one that I know I am going to hate but I will still probably get it because I really want to collect them all. I am such a sucker for a series. I need to have the set. Plus 0.000 points for OCD.
