Prepped for the week? Nutrition is by far the hardest part of a fitness journey. I wanted to give you some tips that my household uses to make sure we are staying on track: 1.) PLAN AHEAD IF TIME - This is the first one because it is the most important to us. If we do not plan it, we will be all over the place all week. 2.) CHOOSE OUR PROTEIN - Protein is the main macronutrient we focus on for meals. We choose 1-2 proteins to get at the store and how they will be prepared. 3.) ADD HEALTHY SIDES - After he protein, we choose 1-2 things to have the protein with. Usually some type of veggie with rice or sweet potato. 4.) PORTION IT OUT - We invested in containers at Sam's Club that we wash and reuse each week. They get stores in microwavable containers so they can be easily heated up throughout the week. **With all these, we limit mistakes by taking away a time battle, portion size battle, and spending uneeded money. Not hard, just a little planning. 💥Side Crunch Progression on a Bosu💥 I love doing core (obliques today) exercises on the Bosu ball for two main reasons! 1️⃣ It helps isolate the obliques and gives you more ROM (range of motion) 2️⃣ It takes the pressure off my bulging discs in my lower back (probably the most important for me) Side Crunch Progression: 💥 Bent knee side crunch 💥 Bent knee side crunch with weights 💥 Straight leg side crunch ✅ Make sure you concentrate on contracting your obliques (love handles) ✅ Keep your neck engaged and straight ✅ Make sure your body is straight on the Bosu ball I’m not going to lie, I’m pretty darn cold in Virginia but I’m having a blast!
