From loading the dishwasher “incorrectly” to leaving the cap off of the toothpaste, we all have little things that get our gears grinding. While we are all entitled to think whatever we’d like about these small annoyances, if they start to become anything more than that, it might be time that we reevaluate our priorities. -Even though the dishwasher wasn’t loaded to its maximum efficiency, it’s now a chore that you don’t have to do. -Though leaving the cap off the toothpaste is a classic pet peeve for a reason, is it really worth starting an argument over? -When thinking about the issue, our reaction, and the situation that develops, step back and evaluate what is really bugging you out. Usually (always) outside triggers are signs that there is an underlying issue we are having trouble dealing with. These are just a handful of various reasons why we may be triggered. Instead of trying to change the other person’s behaviors, we first need to listen to ourselves - Why these do we blow these pet peeves out of proportion? As a recovering perfectionist myself, I realize that this can be a lofty task, but its attainable and I can help! Call me today to discuss more how we can free you from your cage of pet peeves!
